Here is some background
information and history of the Northern Neck Chapter,
Order of DeMolay in King George, Virginia.
History of Northern Neck
Chapter
The Nothern Neck chapter of the Order of DeMolay was
founded in early 1998. Before that time there were no
DeMolay chapters in the Northern Neck region of the
state of Virginia. This chapter was formed so DeMolays
in the region did not have to travel long distances to
attend DeMolay meetings. We became an official chapter
after we received our Charter in April 1999 with a
total of 15 members. Our chapter now has over 30
members.
What accomplishements have
you achieved?
Since our inception, we have been one of the best
chapters in the state of Virginia. We have been Chapter
of the Year in Virginia for 2000, 2001, and 2002. See
our Awards
Page to see what awards we have won. In addition, we
were also initiated the first DeMolay in the year 2000
on the morning
of Jan. 1, 2000.
Where do you hold your
meetings?
Our meetings are held at the Hudson-Morris Masonic Lodge
#80 A. F. & A. M. It is a white two-story building
located on Hudson Road just across the street from Smoot
Library and just behind Lucy's Crafts and Arrangements
on Kings Highway (State Route 3) in King George,
Virginia.
When do you hold your
meetings?
We typically have two stated meetings every month on
the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 7:30 PM to
8:30 PM. We have many other events throughout the month
that are listed on our Calendar
of Events.
NOTE: NNC is on an unofficial hiatus. There are no
meetings or events scheduled at this time.
